JMP FOR SIX SIGMA

  << BACK

Overview
JMP software offers comprehensive capabilities for defining, measuring, analyzing, controlling, and improving critical aspects of your business. It provides in-depth custom design capabilities (DOE) that lets users describe and investigate complex problems hampering productivity. JMP can be customized and tailored to fit the varied needs and levels of practitioners in an organization so that everyone can contribute to Six Sigma efforts.

JMP for Six Sigma enables performance breakthroughs that let businesses realize the maximum benefits of a Six Sigma program by providing:

  • Best in class analytics, custom design capabilities and a scripting language that make JMP easy to use for all classes of users throughout all departments of the organization.
  • Analytics to determine the root cause of a problem and provide supportive data on corrective action.
  • Support for all phases of the Six Sigma DMAIC process.
  • An integrated solution running on Macintosh, Windows, and Linux.
  • Analysis tools that enable Master Black Belts to choose the projects that will yield the highest return on investment.

JMP for Six Sigma Oriented Features

  • Robust Analytics: JMP’s powerful and extensive analytics have the ability to support every stage of DMAIC design process providing fast and complete answers for any Six Sigma analysis.

  • Dynamically linked graphs to results: Statistical results are dynamically linked to graphics providing presentation of data and graphics together. Click on a point in one graph and see corresponding observations highlighted everywhere those values are represented. Easily identify outliers and see trends. Query and retrieve data from ODBC databases and file management systems (MicrosoftTM Excel and Access, OracleTM) using ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) Drivers.

  • JMP Scripting Language (JSL): Makes it possible to record, repeat, program, automate, and customize tasks. By using scripts, JMP Scripting Language assures consistent results and reduces the probability of errors from user to user. JMP power users can bundle multiple analytics into a template and distribute a script that can be run by users with less experience with a click of the mouse. Scripting also aids in the speed at which you obtain results.

  • Design of Experiments (DOE) Custom Designer: Specify the problem, laying out various kinds of factors and responses, and JMP obtains the optimal design that gives you the most information for a given number of runs. You can mix and match any combination of continuous factors, categorical factors, mixture factors, blocking factors and covariates. You also have the ability to modify a design interactively. DOE Custom Designer supports experimentation end-to-end - from planning to designing to fitting to profiling to optimizing. Save response, factors, constraints from DOE so it’s quicker to collaborate or repeat experiments with no need for re-entering data

  • Statistical Quality Control & Variability Charts: Use control charts, capability analysis, Gage R&R, as the tools to detect, analyze and solve process related problems. With process control and capability charts, quickly obtain a snapshot of process performance and capability all in the same dynamically linked window. Write alarm scripts, using JSL, to warn users of out of specification/control situations results.

  • Reporting Flexibility: Copy and paste from JMP to MicrosoftTM software products to tailor a report or presentation. With the new Layout facility, you can treat every element of your report as a separate object. Freely edit, delete, move, group and ungroup objects to create the presentation you need. When you're done, save your report directly to HTML for ready-to-go presentation on the World Wide Web or your department intranet. Graphics are automatically embedded in your choice of JPEG, PNG or WMF files.

  • Platform Flexibility: JMP is available on WindowsTM, MacintoshTM, and Linux operating systems.
