INTRODUCTION TO DATA ANALYSIS

Course Goal
Upon completion of this course, the student will
understand research methods, summary statistics,
graphical data analysis, common distributions,
sampling and confidence, measurement systems
analysis, time-based analysis and simple correlation
and regression.
Course Description
This course presents the use of descriptive
statistical tools and methods to enhance decision
making. Participants define, collect, analyze, and
interpret both discrete and continuous data. Topics
include: data collection, validation, summary
statistics, variability, distributions, time series,
and research methods.

The course uses experiential labs, practical
statistics, 1:1 attention, decision trees, and job
aides to develop skills and reinforce understanding.

Any individual who would like to learn how to analyze
patterns and/or trends within data to make data-based
decisions.
Prerequisites
Introduction to Data
Analysis or equivalent knowledge.
