Course Description
The Agile developer is the core of any product
development effort. However, it is not as simple as
telling a developer the reasoning and steps behind
agile development for them to be successful in
working within Scrum teams. They need to learn and
practice a plethora of other methodologies in order
to truly exploit the power of the Agile methodology
This course teaches developers how to apply agile
requirements, design, testing and programming
techniques to reach the goal of delivering software
rapidly but with the highest quality. Developers
will undergo a series of iterations where they will
build software using techniques such as use cases &
user stories, evolutionary design, test driven
development & user-acceptance criteria, refactoring,
and the logistics of working within an iteration.
Developers learn the benefits as well as the
challenges of working in an iteration with a
close-knit team. The end result is a developer who
doesn’t just understand how to work with agile
techniques but understands how to work within an
agile environment. The course includes instructor
experiences, case studies, and several in-class labs
will enable participants to build knowledge and
skills through active participation instead of
lecture .
