INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN OF EXPERIMENTS

Length: 3 Days

Course Goal
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to  perform basic and advanced experimentation to understand the relationships between multiple inputs and one or more outputs of a system.

Course Description
Design of Experiments is introduced in this course using a simplified and hands-on approach. Participants design, conduct, analyze, and interpret several experiments. Full factorial, fractional factorial, and Plackett-Burman designs will be conducted by hand at first then supplemented with the addition of Excel spreadsheets to aid learning.

Participants learn methods to determine design power, sequence experiments, conduct “good” research, and communicate easy-to-understand findings. The course uses experiential labs, practical statistics, 1:1 attention, decision trees, and job aides to develop skills and reinforce understanding.

Who Should Take This Course
Any technical individual who would like to learn how multiple inputs affect each-other as well as the output of a system.

Prerequisites
